Copper Bird Baths
A copper bird bath in your backyard is one of the most visually appealing additions you can make to the yard. The copper catches and reflects the sun like nothing else at first, but many of these have no protective finish so the natural copper which will age to an attractive verdigris patina after a while. This can be cleaned with chemicals but many think the copper oxidization is a natural look that should be left to form on its own. Some others have a protective coat, so be sure to note which it is that you want.
A few of these are solar powered bird baths that runs off the power of sunlight. This is handy because there are no batteries to install, and no bother with power lines to intall. But note that like any solar bath there needs to be sunlight for them to work, and the pump will stop when there is no light, and you need to take care to put it where the sensor will see direct sunlight.
Many of these come with stands so you can put them where you want. Another popular style is the hanging bird baths, and these are great for a balcony in you apartment or the patio just outside the kitchen window. Either way a copper bird bath is a great addition to your backyard.
